Professional Certificate in B2B Sales

Business-to-business sales is the work of helping an organisation make a sound buying decision while protecting the accuracy of the seller's commitments. A capable seller chooses where to focus, learns how the customer's work operates, asks useful questions, coordinates several stakeholders and records the real state of each opportunity.

In this course, you will practise the full sales cycle through one connected workplace case and twenty reusable professional artifacts. You will learn how to use artificial intelligence for research, drafting and quality checks while keeping facts, customer communication, commercial judgement and approval decisions under human control.

Applied learning through a connected B2B case

The course follows LumenPath Learning, a fictional provider of workplace communication and customer-service training, as an individual seller works with Alderbrook Components, a fictional multi-site manufacturer. The case develops gradually from account selection and outreach through discovery, value design, commercial review, close and customer handoff.

Every lesson teaches one workplace capability and one reusable professional artifact. Each artifact includes a blank template, a completed fictional example, completion guidance and a quality checklist. AI Practice can help organise supplied information, draft bounded content and challenge weak reasoning; learners verify sources, calculations, claims, customer communication and final decisions.

The separate capstone uses a different fictional business-services opportunity. It asks the learner to decide whether to advance, nurture or disqualify the opportunity and to explain the next customer interaction in one decision-ready memo.

Applied Capstone - Opportunity Advancement Decision

Work with a new fictional business-services case containing an approved offer, public account information, two discovery transcripts, stakeholder material, a simple cost and usage dataset, an internal approval table and conflicting customer signals.

Decide whether to advance, nurture or disqualify the opportunity and justify the next customer interaction. Submit one Opportunity Advancement Memo for an internal sales manager. The capstone is individual and self-paced; it does not require assembly of the twenty lesson artifacts.

How the course works

The course is 100% online and self-paced. The course can be completed within one month, depending on the learner's pace and the depth with which they complete the practical assignments.

You can use the supplied fictional cases throughout the course. Lessons move from explanation to method, worked example, guided AI Practice, human verification and independent transfer, allowing you to build confidence before applying the work in a new situation.

AI-supported practice and self-assessment

AI Practice is model-agnostic and source-bound. It can help organise approved inputs, draft an artifact, recalculate supplied figures and identify unsupported claims or missing information. The learner checks every retained statement, calculation, uncertainty, boundary and professional decision.

Each lesson provides observable quality checks and formative feedback guidance. The capstone includes a 100% rubric, a learner self-assessment threshold and critical-failure checks for factual accuracy, calculation integrity, decision boundaries and a clear opportunity decision.

Certificate

After completing the required learning-platform activities, learners can access the MTF Institute course-completion certificate and MTF Student ID from the final course section. The certificate uses the title Professional Certificate in B2B Sales.
