Quick answers

Are MTF Institute programs online?

Many MTF programs are fully online and self-paced. The current program page states the exact format, workload, access period and assessment method.

Do I need TOEFL or IELTS to enroll?

No. Proof of English proficiency is not required for admission to MTF professional courses and programs, although learners need enough English to understand the selected course.

Is an MTF professional certificate a university degree?

No. MTF professional certificates document professional learning; they are not academic degrees or diplomas and do not confer academic credits.

How do I choose an MTF program?

Start with the role or capability you want to develop, then compare learning outcomes, curriculum, level, workload, delivery format and price in the current program catalog.

Where do enrolled learners study?

Learners use edu.gtf.pt or the external platform identified in the enrollment route, such as Udemy for selected courses.

Is there an extra fee for an eligible digital certificate and Student ID?

No additional certificate fee is required for an eligible completed course purchased from MTF or an approved partner, subject to the current credential rules.

How long will I have access to a program?

Access conditions vary by program and platform. The current program page and checkout terms are the controlling source.

How do I contact learner support?

Email welcome@gtf.pt with the program title, enrollment email, learning platform and a concise description of the issue. Never send passwords or full payment-card details.

Step-by-step help

Certificates, LinkedIn and learner services

01 Certificate and Student ID after studying in the MTF portal

At the end of an eligible course in edu.gtf.pt, use the certificate control shown in the course or the My certificates area. The system generates the digital certificate and MTF Student ID from the learner profile.

Check the name before generating a document

The First name and Last name fields determine the printed name. If the name has several parts, arrange them across those fields in the preferred order. Long names may need a shorter presentation to fit the design. A later profile change affects only documents generated after that change.

  1. Sign in to the MTF learning portal.
  2. Open the profile and verify the name.
  3. Complete the eligible course requirements.
  4. Open My certificates or the certificate control at the end of the course.
  5. Review the generated document before using it publicly.

02 MTF certificate for a completed Udemy course

Use this route when Udemy has issued a course-completion certificate.

  1. Create an account at edu.gtf.pt.
  2. Complete at least one eligible MTF course on Udemy.
  3. Open the Udemy profile and confirm that the learner name is written in English.
  4. Make the First name and Last name in the MTF profile match the Udemy profile exactly. Copy and paste the name to avoid spelling differences.
  5. Open the MTF certificate generator.
  6. Select Udemy courses and choose the completed course.
  7. Open the Udemy certificate and copy its complete URL from the browser address bar. Do not type the URL from the visible certificate design.
  8. Paste the URL into the generator, review the details and generate the MTF certificate and Student ID.

A Udemy certificate URL normally begins with https://www.udemy.com/certificate/.

05 Common certificate problems and how to prevent them
  • Write the learner name in English on both platforms.
  • Make the Udemy name and the MTF profile name identical. Copy and paste instead of retyping.
  • Use the First name and Last name fields to arrange multi-part names in the preferred order.
  • Keep the displayed name short enough to fit the certificate design.
  • Create an account at edu.gtf.pt before using the generator.
  • Select Udemy courses for courses with a Udemy certificate and Udemy Certifications for eligible assessments without one.
  • Copy the complete certificate or public-profile URL from the browser address bar.
  • If a name is changed after a document is generated, create a new document after updating the profile; an existing file does not change automatically.

06 Study access, refunds and third-party platforms

Many MTF programs are self-paced, but access periods differ by product and platform. The current program page and checkout terms are the controlling source. A course may later be archived in accordance with those terms.

Refund eligibility depends on the seller, platform, purchase date, course consumption and whether a credential has already been issued. Use the terms presented at checkout or by the partner platform. Do not rely on an old general FAQ statement where the current product terms differ.

MTF uses its own digital systems and selected partners, including Udemy, for some learning routes. Eligible partner-platform learners may still receive an MTF digital credential after the required verification.

07 Letters of recommendation and paper documents

A digital letter of recommendation may be prepared only for eligible learners in the Advanced Executive Program in Management and Business Administration after successful completion of the capstone project. The capstone provides evidence of the skills being endorsed. The eligible digital letter is provided without an additional fee.

Ordering physical certificates is temporarily unavailable while MTF arranges a new logistics partner. Digital documents remain available for eligible completions. Current availability and pricing will be published when the service resumes.
