ATS-Friendly Resume Template: Agricultural Commodity Trade Coordinator
An applicant tracking system (ATS) may parse a resume before a recruiter reads it. Use this template to describe work you have actually done in agricultural commodity trade, execution, logistics or a transferable operations role. The model title is an evidence-derived way to organize relevant experience; employers may use different titles. Adapt the wording to the vacancy, country and seniority level. A keyword belongs in your resume only when you can explain the work behind it in an interview.
Make the document easy to read
- Use one column, plain text headings, standard bullets and reverse chronological experience. Keep names, dates and contact details in the main document body rather than a header, footer, text box or image.
- Use a readable font and consistent month–year dates. Spell out an uncommon acronym on first use. Give both a clear job title and the employer's actual title if they differ.
- Save in the file type the employer requests. Check that a copied text version preserves the name, headings, employers, dates and bullets in the right order.
- Put evidence before keywords: action, object, relevant scope and result. Quantify only what your records support; a clear process improvement without a number is stronger than an invented percentage.
- Do not hide keywords, paste a vacancy wholesale, claim software proficiency from a brief exposure, or imply permission to approve trades, hedges, credit or bank terms that you did not hold.
Contact and section order
Put your name, city and country, phone, professional email and relevant professional profile link on separate readable lines. A street address, photograph, birth date and personal identifiers are usually unnecessary unless local application rules explicitly require them. Follow with Professional Profile, Core Skills, Professional Experience, Tools and Systems, and Education and Relevant Training. Add language or professional membership sections only when useful and true.
Source-bound keyword bank
Select the words that match both the target posting and your own evidence. These examples come from vacancies in four countries observed on 14 October 2026. They are not universal requirements.
| Relevant work area | Searchable wording to consider | Source and scope |
|---|---|---|
| Trade and contract records | trade execution; contract entry; contract compliance; shipment instructions; discrepancy escalation | Cargill Trade Execution Specialist, Canada handles vessel nominations, instructions and export files. Bunge Merchandiser, United States handles loading-order records and contract compliance in a commercial role. |
| Movement and quality | delivery scheduling; inventory reconciliation; quality claims; storage and haulage coordination | ForFarmers Planner, United Kingdom covers raw-material deliveries, claims and logistics costs. A planner's remit is distinct from vessel or port command. |
| Market and position support | market statistics; dated supply-and-demand information; position reconciliation; Excel | Bunge Junior Trade Support, United Kingdom includes position reconciliation and market statistics. A support record is not ownership of a trading position. |
| Documents and payment records | shipping documents; invoice or settlement reconciliation; letter-of-credit document check | Agrocorp Operation Executive, Singapore checks trade-support documents against letter-of-credit requirements. Cargill customer service, Canada is a separate customer-facing source for delivery and payment records. Use the precise task you performed; document checking is not bank acceptance. |
| Role-specific terms | Incoterms; GAFTA/FOSFA familiarity; basis and futures terminology | Solina flour buyer, United Kingdom requests Incoterms knowledge. Agrocorp, Singapore lists GAFTA/FOSFA/Incoterms knowledge as preferred. These are source-specific, not baseline coordinator credentials. |
The four-market vacancy report explains the sample and its limits. The 2026 current-changes article is context for dated market notes; a public crop estimate does not prove a candidate can forecast prices.

Tailor the template truthfully
Tailor the template truthfully
- Read the target posting for its worksite, seniority, duties, tools, required versus preferred terms and approval limits.
- Match three to five important duties to concrete work you performed. Move those bullets near the top of the relevant job rather than repeating the posting's wording.
- Add exact terms such as commodity, contract, inventory, Incoterms or letter of credit only where your experience supports that level of knowledge. Distinguish preparing a document from approving it.
- Verify each employer, date, qualification, named tool, number and result against your own records. Remove unsupported claims and unexplained acronyms.
- Copy the final file's text into a plain-text viewer, check the reading order and links, and submit the requested format.
Common failure patterns
Common failure patterns
- A skills list claims “hedging, GAFTA and letter-of-credit (L/C) expertise” while experience bullets show only shipment administration. Replace inflated labels with the task and level actually performed.
- A bullet says “managed $50 million in commodity trades” when the applicant only entered records. State the record, scope and approval handoff accurately.
- One generic resume is sent to a warehouse, junior trade-support and structured-finance vacancy. Keep the same truthful history but select evidence relevant to each distinct role.
- The file looks polished visually but puts dates, employers or skills inside graphics or a two-column layout that reads out of order. Use a single-column text check.
