The six interest themes
The tool uses the widely known RIASEC model: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional. Each theme describes activities and environments a person may prefer. It does not measure intelligence, competence, personality, mental health or employability.
R: Realistic
Practical problem solving through tools, systems and tangible results.
I: Investigative
Evidence-led inquiry, analysis and complex problem solving.
A: Artistic
Original expression, communication and imaginative problem framing.
S: Social
Helping, teaching and developing people through trusted relationships.
E: Enterprising
Influence, leadership and opportunity creation in uncertain environments.
C: Conventional
Reliable organization, information quality and controlled execution.
Question and scoring design
The assessment contains 30 statements, five for each theme. Visitors rate their interest from 1, meaning strongly dislike, to 5, meaning strongly like. Scores are summed by theme. The three highest themes form the displayed Holland Code; ties are resolved consistently by the order of the six themes so that the same answers always produce the same result.
Privacy and analytics
Answers and scores are calculated locally in the browser and are not sent to MTF Institute by the tool. If a visitor has granted analytics consent, the site may record that the test started or completed. It does not transmit individual answers or the full result profile.
Interpretation limits
This is an educational self-reflection tool, not a validated psychometric instrument or a hiring test. A result can be influenced by current experience, language, mood and familiarity with an activity. Career choice also depends on values, abilities, health, access, qualifications, location and labor-market conditions.
Responsible use
Use the result to generate questions and research options. Compare it with real role descriptions, practical experience and conversations with people doing the work. Employers should not use this test to screen, rank or exclude candidates.
