What you will be able to do

Six practical capabilities for agentic work

This is a compact, instructor-led introduction for people who want to understand what changes when AI moves from answering a question to carrying out a supervised sequence of actions.

01Distinguish chat from agency

Recognise the difference between a conversational answer and a system that can plan steps, use tools, inspect results and continue toward a defined outcome.

02Frame a suitable task

Turn a real work objective into a bounded brief with inputs, allowed actions, quality criteria and a clear stopping point.

03Choose the right environment

Compare chatbot-style work in ChatGPT and Gemini with agentic work available through ChatGPT Codex and Claude environments.

04Supervise tool use

Decide which files, applications and actions an agent may use, and where review or explicit approval must remain with a person.

05Verify the result

Check evidence, outputs and side effects before treating an agent's work as complete or using it in a business decision.

06Identify useful automation

Spot repeatable routines where an agent can reduce coordination effort while keeping privacy, accountability and professional judgement in view.

Built for practical work

Where agentic systems can help

Connect a supervised agentic workflow to a realistic work setting while keeping final decisions and consequential actions with people.

TLManagers and team leads

Structure research, consolidate updates and prepare decision material.

FOFounders and business owners

Prototype routines and compare information across sources.

KWSpecialists and knowledge workers

Organise files and produce reviewable deliverables.

CLCareer changers and learners

Practise a complete supervised workflow.

A simple operating model

From objective to verified outcome

The workshop treats agentic AI as supervised work infrastructure. People remain accountable for permissions, sensitive information, external communications and consequential decisions.

Step 1Define the outcome and boundaries
Step 2Delegate with permitted tools
Step 3Observe actions and results
Step 4Intervene where judgement is needed
Step 5Verify the completed work

Live workshop agenda

One focused two-hour session

The session is delivered live, with explanation, demonstration, guided practice and questions. It is not a library of prerecorded lessons.

01 · AI chatbots and agentic systems

Build a clear comparison between conversational use and a system pursuing a multi-step objective with tools and persistent working context.

02 · Practical scenarios for work and business

Examine current examples across research, documents, analysis, coordination and routine digital operations.

03 · Instructor-led hands-on exercise

Complete one bounded agentic workflow on your own computer and improve it with the instructor.

04 · Automation opportunities and safeguards

Map one recurring task and decide what the agent may do, what requires approval and how completion is checked.

05 · Career and income-development possibilities

Translate the capability into a realistic next professional step. Outcomes depend on application and are not guaranteed.

Bring your own computer

Preparation and guided practice

Every participant completes the live exercise on their own device.

Every participant uses their own computer. Before the workshop, enrolled participants receive instructions for preparing the current approved applications and accounts used in the supervised exercise.

The demonstration is based on OpenAI ChatGPT Codex applications and the current approved OpenAI models available for the cohort, including GPT-5.6 Sol and GPT-6 Astra where available, or later approved models. Access can vary by account, product and cohort date, so the setup message confirms the exact configuration.

We also compare conversational use of ChatGPT and Gemini with agentic environments such as ChatGPT Codex and Claude. You should bring a charged computer, working internet access and the ability to install or sign in to the tools specified in the preparation instructions.

Questions before you enroll

Frequently asked questions

Is this an online course or a live workshop?

It is a live, instructor-led two-hour workshop. You can attend in person in Lisbon or join the live online session. It is not a self-paced lecture course.

When and where will the workshop take place?

The date, time and Lisbon venue are announced during cohort recruitment. Enrolled participants receive the confirmed logistics and preparation message before the session.

Do I need to bring a computer?

Yes. Every participant completes the guided exercise on their own computer. Bring a charged device, working internet access and the ability to use the applications specified in the setup instructions.

What do I need to install or configure?

You receive setup instructions before the workshop. They identify the current approved applications, account requirements and any cohort-specific configuration. Exact model access can vary by account and product.

Which AI systems are covered?

The workshop uses OpenAI ChatGPT Codex applications and current approved OpenAI models for the cohort. It compares chatbot use in ChatGPT and Gemini with agentic work in ChatGPT Codex and Claude environments.

Will I learn to automate my work?

You will learn how to identify a suitable routine, define boundaries, supervise tool use and verify the result. The focus is a safe first workflow, not unsupervised automation of sensitive or consequential work.

What certificate will I receive?

The program follows the MTF Institute professional certificate pathway. Certificate instructions are provided through the MTF learning platform. This is professional education and does not confer an academic degree or academic credit.
