### Module 2: Design Effective Manual Test Coverage

### Module 3: Execute Tests and Manage Defects

11. **Execute Manual Tests and Record Results**

    Perform checks consistently and preserve environment, input, observation, actual result and outcome. **Primary deliverable:** Test Execution Log.

12. **Explore, Observe and Debrief**

    Follow useful observations while keeping the investigative mission and evidence trail visible. **Primary deliverable:** Exploratory Session Notes.

13. **Write a Reproducible Defect Report**

    Produce a specific title, context, steps, expected result, actual result and proportionate supporting evidence. **Primary deliverable:** Reproducible Defect Report.

14. **Support Defect Triage with Clear Evidence**

### Module 4: Build Regression and Technical Testing Literacy

## Applied capstone

Create a **Release Test Decision Brief** for a complete fictional appointment-booking change. Bring together the change and decision, risk-based coverage, execution and exploratory evidence, defects and fix verification, regression and technical checks, omitted coverage, residual uncertainty and responsible owners. Your recommendation supports the product and release owners; it does not approve the release or accept residual risk on their behalf.

## How the course works

The course is 100% online and self-paced. A reasonable planning estimate is approximately 28 to 40 hours of focused study and practical work within a study window of up to one month. Each lesson combines theory, an applied method, a blank template, a worked fictional example and an independent workplace-transfer activity.
