## Professional Certificate in Marketing Analytics

Build a practical marketing analytics workflow from measurement planning through funnels, cohorts, attribution limits, dashboards and accountable recommendations. The program uses current evidence assessed in September 2026 and teaches durable methods that keep definitions, uncertainty, ownership and approval visible.

## Who this course is for

The course is designed for aspiring and early-career marketing analysts, performance, growth, lifecycle and CRM marketers, business analysts entering marketing, and managers who commission or challenge marketing evidence.

Comfort with percentages and ordinary spreadsheets is enough to begin. No coding, advanced statistics or production data-engineering experience is assumed. You work with tool-neutral methods, reusable templates and the connected fictional company Trailmark Workflow.

## What you will be able to do

You will turn a broad request into a bounded marketing decision, build a governed measurement plan and metric dictionary, specify trustworthy inputs and decide whether data is fit for use.

You will construct reproducible funnels, diagnose segment differences, build comparable cohorts and interpret retention and value without hiding maturity or censoring limits. You will compare attribution views and windows, distinguish credit and association from incrementality, prepare safe experiment handoffs and triangulate evidence.

You will design and validate a decision-ready dashboard, write a proportionate recommendation with alternatives, guardrails, owners and a next test, and run a recurring performance review that preserves decisions and learning.

## How the course works

Every lesson combines applied theory with AI Practice. You work through the fictional Trailmark Workflow case, create a reusable workplace artifact, inspect a completed example, use a focused drafting prompt and a separate critic prompt, and verify the result with professional judgment. Every task also includes a no-AI route.

The applied capstone presents a claimed 24% increase in attributed trial starts alongside a changed attribution window, duplicate events, immature cohorts and incomplete cost evidence. You produce one Marketing Investment Decision Pack recommending an immediate reallocation, a hold or a bounded approved test with the relevant evidence, limitations, owner, guardrails and next learning step.

## Professional resources

The course includes three readable resources: a model marketing analytics job description, an ATS-friendly resume template with a fictional example, and an operating playbook for recurring analytics work. They help you translate the learning into truthful role expectations and evidence.

## Certificate

After completing the required learning activities and capstone, you receive the MTF Institute Certificate of completion: Professional Certificate in Marketing Analytics.

## Evidence behind the course

MTF Institute built this curriculum from scratch using an audited analysis of 100 current U.S.-scoped vacancies from 88 employers. Dashboard, reporting and visualization appeared in 67 records; recommendations and stakeholder storytelling in 70; funnel, pipeline and conversion analysis in 40; measurement planning in 36; cohort, retention and lifetime-value analysis in 31; attribution or incrementality in 30; experiment design or readout in 22; and data-quality work in 14. The sample is structured and purposive rather than nationally representative, so these counts describe the corpus rather than the whole labour market.

Together they support a durable focus on governed definitions, funnel and cohort discipline, attribution sensitivity, method triangulation, decision-oriented dashboards and bounded recommendations.
