## Professional Certificate in Corporate Management
Build practical corporate management capability in priorities, people, resources, projects, performance, decisions and responsible AI for 2026 and 2027.

## Who this course is for
New or developing corporate managers, business operations managers, cross-functional leads and professionals moving into broader coordination responsibilities.
No direct-report or budget authority is required to begin. Basic workplace experience and spreadsheet familiarity are helpful.

## What you will be able to do
Learn to turn corporate priorities into feasible plans, coordinate people and resources, make evidence-based recommendations, deliver projects and process changes, and adapt responsibly as conditions change. Practise the work products a developing manager uses, with checked AI assistance and clear approval boundaries.

### The Manager's Operating Compass
Define the manager's remit, translate strategy into priorities, build an operating plan, read performance evidence and request a decision clearly.

### People, Capacity, and Coordination
Make resource choices, protect time, communicate clearly, align functions and lead people according to actual authority and need.

### Projects, Processes, and Change
Frame and deliver a bounded initiative, control risks, improve an existing workflow and support adoption of change.

### The Adaptive Management System
Use recurring reviews, scenarios, checked AI assistance and decision governance to keep a plan useful as conditions change.

## Curriculum
Four modules and twenty applied lessons. Every lesson includes a practical method, a blank work-product template, a completed example, checked AI practice and a route to complete the work without AI.

### Module 1: The Manager's Operating Compass
A corporate manager often receives a direction before receiving a usable plan. The first challenge is to find out what the goal means, who owns the work, which decisions are yours, and which facts can show progress. This module begins with those questions and turns them into a small, practical operating system. You will produce a role map, a priority map, a ninety-day plan, a compact performance view and a decision memo. Each document is designed to help someone act: a sponsor can approve or redirect, a colleague can accept a handoff, and you can see when the plan needs another look.

1. **Define Your Role, Authority, and Stakeholders** — Map the role's work, stakeholders and authority before accepting a corporate initiative. Primary work product: Role scope and authority map.

2. **Turn Strategy into Clear Priorities** — Use a transparent priority method to turn broad strategy into choices that teams can act on. Primary work product: Priority and outcome map.

3. **Build a Ninety-Day Operating Plan** — Create a ninety-day plan that connects owners, resources, measures and review dates. Primary work product: Ninety-day operating plan.

4. **Design Measures and a Useful Dashboard** — Build a small performance view that supports an operating decision and shows data limits. Primary work product: Metric dictionary and compact dashboard.

5. **Write a Decision-Ready Recommendation** — Present options and a recommendation while making approval authority and uncertainty explicit. Primary work product: Decision memo.

### Module 2: People, Capacity, and Coordination
Even a sensible plan can fail when it assumes unlimited people, time or attention. Managers have to make trade-offs visible, ask for decisions before commitments collide, and communicate in a way that lets different teams coordinate without confusion. This module turns those pressures into practices: a capacity comparison, a realistic calendar, a decision-focused update, a stakeholder handoff plan and a feedback conversation. Leadership methods are chosen to fit the task and the person's needs, not treated as labels that explain every situation.

6. **Make Resource and Budget Trade-Offs** — Show the consequences of resource choices without claiming spending authority. Primary work product: Capacity and budget trade-off.

7. **Manage Time, Workload, and Delegation** — Rebuild an honest priority calendar and delegation plan under changing demand. Primary work product: Priority calendar and delegation plan.

8. **Write Updates That Drive Decisions** — Write a short update that makes facts, uncertainty, action and decision requests visible. Primary work product: Executive update.

9. **Align Stakeholders Across Functions** — Coordinate a cross-functional agreement without assuming authority over other teams. Primary work product: Stakeholder and handoff plan.

10. **Lead Teams with Situational Judgment** — Apply flexible management methods through observable delegation and feedback. Primary work product: Delegation and feedback plan.

### Module 3: Projects, Processes, and Change
Corporate managers maintain ongoing operations while also delivering temporary projects and process changes. These activities need different records but the same discipline: a clear outcome, an owner, a feasible sequence, known risks, and an accepted handoff. You will practise writing a project charter, tracking dependencies, recognizing a control exception, testing a process improvement and preparing people for a change. The methods stay lightweight enough for a developing manager while showing when specialist approval is required.

11. **Frame a Corporate Project** — Create a project charter with a defined outcome, scope and approval path. Primary work product: Project charter and delivery outline.

12. **Deliver Through Milestones and Dependencies** — Track project delivery and recover a blocked milestone through an accountable handoff. Primary work product: Milestone and dependency tracker.

13. **Manage Risks, Controls, and Escalation** — Keep a practical risk record and route a controlled decision to the authorized owner. Primary work product: Risk and decision register.

14. **Improve a Business Process** — Design a measured process improvement and verify its handoff to an owner. Primary work product: Process map and improvement test.

15. **Lead an Adoptable Change** — Prepare a change plan that explains the decision, supports adoption and surfaces concerns. Primary work product: Change and handoff plan.

### Module 4: The Adaptive Management System
A plan is useful only while its assumptions still hold. The final module focuses on the rhythm that notices change, distinguishes signal from noise, and turns new information into an authorized decision and a clear next action. You will lead an operating review, test scenarios and triggers, use AI for bounded work with source checks, map escalation routes, and conduct an integrated management review. These practices respond to observed 2026 changes and help you prepare conditionally for 2027, while keeping people accountable for facts, choices and communication.

16. **Run a Productive Operating Review** — Run a review that turns performance evidence into authorized decisions and owner actions. Primary work product: Review agenda and action record.

17. **Plan with Scenarios and Triggers** — Refresh a plan using explicit scenarios rather than pretending one forecast is certain. Primary work product: Scenario and trigger sheet.

18. **Use AI as a Checked Management Assistant** — Use AI for bounded management work while checking sources and retaining human accountability. Primary work product: AI task and verification brief.

19. **Govern Decisions and Exceptions** — Route decisions and exceptions to the right people and keep a clear decision record. Primary work product: Decision-rights and escalation map.

20. **Integrate the Corporate Management Cycle** — Conduct a complete operating review that connects strategy, resources, delivery and decisions. Primary work product: Integrated operating review.

## Applied capstone
The learner receives a fictional cross-functional business problem with a slipping milestone, strained capacity, a possible data-quality caveat and a pending budget decision. The task is to check the facts, compare feasible paths, identify the authorized decision owner and submit one Integrated Management Decision Pack with a recovery plan and next review point.
Use only the relevant course methods; the capstone asks for one coherent professional response.

## How the course works
Study online in English at your own pace, normally within one month. Work through twenty lessons, their blank templates and completed examples, three role-starter resources and a separate applied capstone. Use the work products in a connected fictional business case. Each AI-assisted exercise includes source checking, a human critique and a no-AI alternative.
