## Professional Certificate in Channel Partner Management

Build a practical channel partner operating cycle: assess partner fit, plan shared work, prepare teams, qualify opportunities, coordinate co-selling and review results. The course is online and self-paced, with four modules, 20 applied lessons and one capstone. Study time is up to 1 month.

## Who this course is for

This course is designed for aspiring channel partner managers, partnership coordinators, alliance practitioners and partner-program professionals. Sales and operations colleagues moving into external partner work can use the same methods to make requests, handoffs and reviews more reliable. The course begins with the first partner request and develops the decisions, records and conversations needed to move work forward.

## What you will be able to do

You will identify a partner model and route a request to the right owner; compare candidates against a real business need; maintain a dated, permission-aware partner record; and agree joint priorities with the partner and internal team. You will prepare a launch and enablement briefing, check whether an apparent account match deserves action, and scope a campaign with clear claims, costs and approvals.

You will also qualify a partner opportunity, preserve registration and attribution evidence, review pipeline stages and uncertainty, and coordinate an accepted co-sell handoff. Later work turns activity into a useful scorecard and review, handles conflict neutrally, checks AI-assisted and commercial exceptions, and recommends a supported next step in the relationship. Each lesson provides one primary workplace artifact that can be adapted to your organization’s current rules and systems.

## Curriculum

**Module 1 — Understand the Partner and Organize the Work.** Start with a request, assess fit, maintain a reliable record, hand off with a clear owner and plan a practical operating rhythm.

**Module 2 — Build a Working Partner Relationship.** Agree a joint plan, sequence launch work, check partner-team readiness, verify an account match and scope one campaign or program action.

**Module 3 — Move Opportunities Through the Channel.** Qualify a partner opportunity, route registration and credit questions, review pipeline evidence, coordinate co-selling and check program eligibility.

**Module 4 — Review Results and Guide What Happens Next.** Define performance measures, agree corrective actions, route conflicts and exceptions, and prepare a lifecycle recommendation with a receiving owner.

The applied capstone presents an old account-overlap signal, an overdue service commitment and conditional program terms. Using the supplied facts and policy excerpts, you prepare one partner decision-and-action brief that recommends an authorized joint action, records open checks and names the next owner and review.

## How the course works

The 20 lessons combine a practical explanation, worked example, reusable artifact and AI-supported draft-and-critique exercise. Use fictional case material for practice or approved workplace information where permitted. Review AI output against source dates, customer permission, current program terms and the local decision map before using it. The learner controls the final record and the handoff.

The operating sequence begins with a trigger and relationship check, then verifies facts and permissions, chooses a route, plans actions, confirms handoff acceptance, monitors progress and reviews the result. The course applies this same sequence across referral, reseller, distributor, service and alliance situations while keeping each lesson’s work product distinct.
