**Resource type:** ats resume template
**Evidence geography:** United States
**Evidence scope:** Evidence-derived resource from a purposive review of 111 current direct-employer U.S. commercial-space management vacancies across 17 employers, plus a separate review of 15 dated primary-source developments. The sample is descriptive and does not estimate the whole U.S. hiring market.
**Accepted source SHA-256:** `3b1e54fe63ec12b7e5aec6e354a4d3c6e2e9daab56fa91fb5ddf53ce59ce6ab4`

Use this template to present evidence of commercial-space coordination, delivery, and business judgment in a format that an applicant tracking system (ATS) can parse and a hiring manager can scan. Select language that matches the specific vacancy and your actual work. The role family spans supply-chain planning, program and production delivery, commercial growth, contracts and capture, mission operations, business operations, customer service delivery, product management, and specialist management; one resume should target a coherent subset rather than claim all nine.

**Evidence scope:** The keyword themes and work products below are drawn from a structured, purposive review of 111 current U.S. employer-authored vacancies across 17 employers and nine primary role families, frozen on 10 October 2026. The sample is a guide to wording and role boundaries, not a measure of national hiring prevalence. See the [U.S. vacancy report](https://mtfinstitute.com/insights/us-commercial-space-business-management-111-vacancies-2026/) and [versioned research record](https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23288431). Dated industry developments are described separately in the [management changes review](https://mtfinstitute.com/insights/us-commercial-space-management-changes-2026/).

## ATS-readable principles

- Use a single column with standard text headings such as Professional Profile, Core Skills, Experience, Tools, and Education. Put contact details in the document body rather than a header, footer, text box, or image.
- Submit the file type requested by the employer. Use a text-based PDF or DOCX when either is allowed; check that copied text retains the right reading order before submitting.
- Spell out a term on first use when its abbreviation matters: for example, enterprise resource planning (ERP), material requirements planning (MRP), customer relationship management (CRM), or request for proposal (RFP).
- Match the vacancy's exact terms only where they describe work you have done. Use natural wording in the profile, skills, and achievement bullets; hidden text and keyword lists without evidence reduce credibility.
- Give each role an employer, location, job title, and month/year dates. Start bullets with the action you took, then the scope or method, then a verifiable result or decision supported. Distinguish a team outcome from your own contribution.
- Keep dates, terminology, tense, and formatting consistent. Use plain bullets, common fonts, and descriptive links; avoid icons, charts, columns, tables, unusual symbols, and graphics inside the resume.
- Keep employer-specific eligibility, clearance, regulated authority, and software claims to what you can substantiate. A coordination achievement does not imply contract signature, export clearance, technical acceptance, or flight-safety authority.

## Reusable resume structure

Replace every bracketed field with accurate information and delete sections that have no evidence. The headings below are the resume structure; the keyword bank that follows is a selection aid, not text to paste wholesale.

## Evidence-derived keyword bank

Use the vacancy's wording, then select a few terms for which you can point to a work product, decision, or result. The themes reflect the frozen U.S. sample; they are not a universal software stack or a list of required qualifications. For example, the source brief found cross-functional coordination in 107 of 111 postings, while a tool category was not stated in 57. The stronger resume shows what coordination produced.

| Target subrole | Terms to consider when accurate | Evidence that can support the terms |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Program and production delivery | program schedule; scope and milestones; requirements and interfaces; risk, issue, and change control; production readiness | Baseline and change record, dependency owner, milestone status, quality or acceptance record |
| Supply-chain planning | supplier management; lead time; inventory; material requirements planning; capacity planning; purchase orders; supplier quality | Reconciled demand and supply plan, qualified supplier comparison, shortage escalation, delivery recovery |
| Contracts and capture | bid/no-bid; RFP response; proposal coordination; contract obligations; pricing assumptions; partner inputs | Proposal section or compliance matrix, reviewed assumptions, contract-obligation tracker, documented legal handoff |
| Commercial growth | market development; sales pipeline; customer use case; partnership; pricing and business case; handoff to delivery | Qualified opportunity record, dated forecast, buyer and decision map, feasible customer commitment |
| Customer service delivery | account plan; onboarding; service level; acceptance criteria; issue resolution; customer communication | Account or service record, acceptance tracker, incident handoff, trend in service performance |
| Product management | product requirements; roadmap; discovery; customer feedback; prioritization; technical trade-offs | Validated need, prioritized backlog, roadmap decision with engineering and commercial input |
| Business operations | operating analysis; forecast; dashboard; process improvement; decision brief; resource assumptions | Controlled metric definition, forecast variance, improved workflow, decision-ready analysis |
| Mission operations coordination | mission interface; payload or launch dependency; readiness evidence; contingency trigger; partner handoff | Interface register, readiness package contribution, issue escalation with accountable technical owner |
| Specialist management | quality record; technical-team coordination; site or production process; corrective action | Scope-specific record and approved handoff; describe only the specialist work you actually performed |

Across subroles, useful observable language includes **cross-functional coordination**, **stakeholder communication**, **analytical problem solving**, **documentation and handoff**, and **executive briefing** when a bullet demonstrates the conduct. Tool categories appearing in the sample included spreadsheets, data query/programming, ERP/MRP, project scheduling, business intelligence, and CRM. Name a product or platform only if you used it; the research does not establish a required brand for the field.

## Truthful tailoring checklist

- Identify one target role family and highlight the vacancy's three to five most important duties or outputs.
- For every selected keyword, locate a real example in your work, project, education, or training record. Remove a term if you cannot explain it in an interview.
- Put the closest evidence in the top third: profile, core skills, and first achievement or experience bullets.
- Quantify with records you can defend: scope, dates, volume, cycle time, quality, cost, or forecast accuracy. If no reliable metric exists, name the decision, handoff, or deliverable precisely.
- Show your contribution and the accountable owner. Say “prepared a recommendation for legal review” when legal approved the terms; say “coordinated readiness evidence” when a technical team owned flight or safety decisions.
- Check each named tool, degree, credential, clearance, work authorization statement, and employer against your records and the specific posting. Omit unsupported claims.
- Read the exported resume as plain text, confirm dates and links, and proofread both the human-visible version and parsed order.

## Common failure patterns

- **Keyword dumping:** A long skills list claims every space subrole but the experience section proves none. Keep a focused selection with matching bullets.
- **Unclear ownership:** “Delivered the mission” hides whether you planned, coordinated, approved, or operated. State your task, scope, and handoff.
- **False precision:** A percentage with no baseline, period, or source is weaker than a clearly described documented result. Verify figures before use.
- **Confusing formatting:** Multiple columns, text boxes, logos, and contact details in headers can scramble extraction. Use linear text and test it.
- **Missing context:** “Improved processes” gives no customer, supplier, program, method, or effect. Name the work product and operational change.
- **Overstated eligibility or authority:** A course, project, or adjacent job does not establish clearance, a license, signature power, or a regulated operating role.
